So another vlog for you all today. Is it pronounced "vee-log" or "vlawg?" Just curious...
A breakdown of the vlog - I'm going to BEA, I'm a freelance reviewer now for Shelf Awareness, A Young Wife by Pam Lewis is *awesome* so far. And reviews coming soon: Exit the Actress by Priya Parmar is fabulous, the audios for The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and Never Let Me Go will keep you thinking about it for days...
Thoughts?
Happy Reading,

YAY! Hope to meet you there!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see you in NY! Congrats on the SA gig!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to meet you in NYC! Congrats on reviewing for Shelf Awareness!
ReplyDeleteYour vlog is one of the best ones I've seen-you sound so polished and relaxed! Have fun at BEA-maybe one year my work schedule will allow me to attend.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Congrats on the Shelf Awareness deal. See you soon!
ReplyDeleteOoh congrats on shelf awareness! That's so exciting!!! I loved The Immortal of Henrietta Lacks and was surprised at how a story about cancer cells could genuinely maintain my interest for so long, LOL! I read one other Pam Lewis book (speak softly, she can hear) and it creeped me out. I don't remember what about it but it b/c it was a few years ago at least, but it scared me and made me uncomfortable (not the author's fault, just he story) so I haven't picked anything else up by her.
ReplyDeleteNATALIE! You are amazing! This is so well done. You put my little vlog to shame. I'm convinced we must meet one day soon. We can dream/plan your book & coffee shop in Italy. Aw, one day we shall sip & read together under the Tuscan sun. Congrats on Shelf Awareness! I'm so excited and thrilled for you, my dear, sweet friend! xox
ReplyDeleteHave fun at BEA, Natalie! And congrats on Shelf Awareness, that's really fantastic.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to see you for real Natalie. I love your vlog. Well done on Shelf Awareness too. I am so envious of your trip to BEA,as I have no chance of going.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great time at BEA; we'll be looking for pictures and posts.
ReplyDeleteAck! So jealous! I just haven't been able to figure out the logistics to allow me to come to BEA. Unless I get a full-time nanny. So you have fun and make sure you report back.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more with you on Henrietta and the audio. Our book club read it and we were FEVERISH in our discussion. I did not listen to Never Let Me Go, but I read it years ago before blogging and it haunted me. In a good way.
WOW! Have fun at BEA, and congrats on reviewing for Shelf Awareness!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Sandy I wish I could get to BEA. Maybe one day. But hurray for Shelf Awareness, totally deserved. Henrietta is our book choice for next month and I can't wait to dive in.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! Congratulations on your gig with Shelf Awareness and the fact that you are going to BEA! I wanted to go this year, but things just didn't work out for me. I am still hoping to get there one of these years! I am also way impressed with you for landing a role at Shelf Awareness. It couldn't have happened to a better reviewer, or a nicer person!
ReplyDeleteHey, cool, we're buddies; I'm reviewing for SA too! :)

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see you there! If we don't meet up on Thursday, I'll be on the lookout for you at BBC for sure.
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to read The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. When I first heard about it, I was so intrigued. I might pick up the audiobook, since you say it is very well read. Never Let Me Go was a phenomenal book. I read it and couldn't get it out of my head.
Love the vlog! Congrats on the Shelf Awareness gig too! I can't wait to meet you at BEA. I'll be there on Tuesday through Saturday.

Michelle

ReplyDeleteLove your vlog very much! Your wall paint is pretty. :) Have lotsa fun at the BEA and remember to post photos of every book you get for us, lol.
ReplyDeleteI always pronounce it "vlawg" but that's just me. :)
ReplyDeleteI just finished the audio of the Henrietta Lacks book last week and it was FANTASTIC! Looking forward to seeing your review.
