Saturday Snapshot...Quiet Birthday Rain...

Last weekend was quiet and rainy, and although my husband and I originally planned to go the Italian Festival to celebrate my birthday, we ended up heading to a cute café for coffee, then spent the rest of the quiet day with family. After that, it was home to finish reading creepy Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier and then starting the gruesome Vlad: The Last Confession by C.C. Humphreys. It was one of my favorite days...

    Thanks, guys! And Lisa - these current photos are actually all shot through the Instagram app on my iPhone. If you have an iPhone, you should definitely download the app since it's free! Not to mention, the filters are extremely cool - you will love it!

    Thanks!! I just got an iphone yesterday, very excited! (as an aside...my 4 y/o was checking it out while my 7 y/o was wildly waving his arms in the air telling a story...the iphone went flying, landed on concrete and cracked. Wah!! Still works though!)

    @Lisa - Yay you got an iPhone, but oh no, it cracked!! I hope it's not too bad of a crack, but they have some awesome covers for the phones. A warning on the Instagram app - it will be extremely addicting :)

    I actually love rainy days when I'm doing something like visiting cafes, or reading.

    We had a crazy rainy evening on Thursday night but I had to go to a Chick Fila Spirit Night for my son's football team. Boo. I long for a day of curling up and reading. Happy birthday!!!!

    The Instagram app looks very cool. And here I thought you spent an hour with photoshop actions.

    It would be disappointing to miss the fest but it instead your day turned out wonderfully. I love when that happens!
